Apple CEO Taunted Chromebook
Ridicule for the sake of unrelenting ridicule leveled for Chromebook. After Microsoft ever mock Chromebook as 'rock', now turn Apple's quip made by Google's notebook.
With an affordable price tag, the Chromebook is often used by schools and companies that are looking for a cheap laptop for basic use, such as editing documents, browsing, and email. Not surprisingly, Chromebook sales continue to grow over time.
From the data provided by NPD, Chromebook sales increased rapidly, nearly rivaling the sales of laptops and tablet-based Windows operating systems. Referring to the report first half 2015, sales of devices with the operating system Google Chrome reached 30.3% in the United States.
Indeed, it still lags behind Windows that controls the percentage of 59.3%. While Apple was third with 10.3% only have a percentage.
Although selling like hotcakes, but it is in fact not be a threat to Apple. In an interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that he was not interested in working Chromebook regarded as an experimental machine.
Rather than working on a cheap laptop, Cook claimed to be more interested in working on a premium device that can help students and teachers to study and work at the different levels.
"We are interested in helping students to learn and teachers teach. But the experimental machine, (it seems) does not," said Cook refers to the Chromebook as quoted from Softpedia, Friday (12/11/2015).
"We created a product that can provide solutions for people. That allows children to learn how to create and engage in the level of different levels," he added.
