Because Facebook, A Man Demands of 32 Years In Prison
A man in Thailand had to face the demands of 32 years in prison for sharing and love posting on Facebook.
As reported by The Daily Dot, Thanakorn Siripaiboon (27) was arrested on December 8 for a Facebook post criticizing sharing infographics corruption allegations the country's military dictatorship, Sunday (12/13/2015).
The Thai government indicted Thanakorn sedition, treason, and cyber-crime in treating the King and share photos with friends 608 on December 2.
Siripaiboon following in the footsteps of a man who was sentenced in August to 30 years in prison for Facebook activity as do similar things that insult the monarchy in Thailand.
Human rights groups say Siripaiboon have "disappeared" since his arrest. Reportedly, Thanakornsempat held in secret military custody for a week.
"Secret detention Thanakorn should be removed, especially the Thai government failed to resolve the two deaths of detainees in military cell," Brad Adams, the Asia director of Human Rights Watch. "Junta Thailand is getting booed protection of international law by holding detainees in civilian military camps."
