Google Create Competitors To Akamai

Google has a new service that offers content-delivery network (CDN). The service is targeting independent developers who want their applications can be accessed quickly.

Still in the stage of 'alpha', Google receives applications from users who want to try this new service. The current limited availability of new in the United States.

"Google Cloud CDN utilizing the Google cache edge distribution globally for content cache HTTP (S) Load Balanced to your users," Google said as reported by Tech Times, Thursday (12/10/2015).

"Caching content on the network provided by Google resulted in the presentation of content faster to users and reduce the loading time on your server," said Google promotion.

CDN services seem to be an interesting area for technology companies. Prior to Google, there is Amazon CloudFront CDN offering, Microsoft Azure also had CDN.

    I think, that nowadays the main competitors are Cloudflare and http://cdnsun.com/. Cloudflare is free, that's why most of website owners are using it. Cdnsun is the best paid variant, especially for US and UK.
