Google Life Science Division Change Name Becomes Verily

The parent company Google, Alphabet, Google has changed the name of Life Science division that it manages to be 'Verily'. Verily carried goal, for now, is quite simple: 'to understand disease at the individual level'.

The division was formed in the Google X lab several years ago and runs as an independent company under the Alphabet in August. But until Monday (07/12/2015) yesterday, the division does not have a name.

Working on projects that include the development of contact lenses with a built-in sensor glucose. But of course, Verily has a much greater purpose than just.

A video posted to the new website Verily.com yesterday elaborated on the need to detect the disease earlier and more precise interventions, with treatments tailored to each individual.

"There is no manual for the human body. A new car has up to 400 different sensors. You know the oil pressure. You know how much air in your tires. But we do not know the same thing to people," says a narrator in the video with background piano music.

Verily have a team of hardware build small devices that will monitor the health of individuals and signal when something is wrong.

Then, the software engineer to draw up programs to help identify disease sooner and prescribe appropriate treatment. As quoted from PC World, Tuesday (08/12/2015).
