Samsung Galaxy S7 Towards A Pressure Sensitive Screen

Samsung Galaxy S7 Towards A Pressure Sensitive Screen

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a pressure-sensitive screen, along the lines of what was done by Apple with the iPhone 6S. Before you say that the South Korean company once again copy the California, however, it is perhaps useful to remember that Samsung probably will use a technology similar to that used by Huawei on recent Mate S. The news is not official in any case: to state that Samsung will use a pressure-sensitive touch screen on the Galaxy S7, in fact, are the anonymous sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, whose article also reports that the next version will have a GS7 Edge, and that Samsung is considering the possibility inserting the player to the iris.

It is expected that the Galaxy S7 is presented in March 2016 and that in principle replicate design choices already seen on the Galaxy S6 - so again no MicroSD slot and removable battery. According to Jonathan Cheng, the reporter of the WSJ, the new model also integrates a new technology for rapid charging. According to Cheng, also, "the success of the new phone will be a first test for the new leadership of the mobile division of Samsung, DJ Koh, promoted recently hoping to renew the fortunes of the world's largest producer of smartphones, after two years of disappointing sales ".

Surely the screen pressure sensitive, beyond possible controversy regarding copying Apple, could help Samsung to differentiate its product than its competitors, and to provide a feature that consumers could find for their choice of purchase - but obviously, it will need appropriate software that can exploit it, as with the curved screen model Edge. Differentiation, on the other hand, has always been instrumental in the Android world, with many models that compete with each other and have the same operating system. To convince us to buy one product over the other we need to focus on the details, which Samsung has already tried to do with last year's models.

The most important factor, however, is the price, and this is that in recent years has made it difficult for Samsung and other manufacturers. The problem is always the same: those who have a lot to spend generally takes an iPhone, so companies that make Android products are all competing in an area with lower margins. To make matters, even more, complicated, there are Chinese manufacturers, which we know can offer good products at very low prices. Just a touch screen to the pressure to extricate himself from this situation? To find out, we will have to wait until next spring, when the Samsung Galaxy S7 will actually be on the market and we can see how the audience will receive it.
