Scientists Successfully Cloned Dogs Are Already Dead

Cloned Dogs Are Already Dead

Laura Jacques and Richard Remde were the first couples that receive a clone of their pet dog. Jacques and Remde have officially become a foster parent of a puppy named Chance.

As reported NYPost, Monday (28/12/2015), Chance is the first dog of his race who have created DNA, together with a dog that had died two weeks earlier. The dog died, Dylan, taken samples of his DNA.

Dylan was diagnosed with a brain tumor six months ago and died of a heart attack. He was only eight years old.

Remde Dylan brought samples to a laboratory in South Korea hoping to "revive" Dylan. "I do not know how I could survive without Dylan. I thought I would throw my body to the bridge or the other," said Jacques.

Unfortunately, the first sample failed so Remde must fly back to Korea to send a biopsy of the stomach Dylan. At that time, Dylan had died during the 12 days.

But their struggle was not in vain. At a cost of $ 100,000, the sample was successfully cloned.
"This is the first time we got a cell taken from a dog that had been dead for some time. Hopefully, this allows us to extend the period of cell death that can be used for cloning," said scientist Sooam, David Kim.

Sooam itself has been cloned 700 dogs live. While Dylan has been cloned into two dogs, Chance and the first to have been born on Friday (25/12/2015) and Shadow are currently still in the womb.
