Microsoft Donates Cloud Worth US $ 1 Billion

Microsoft Corp. will donate cloud computing services worth more than $ 1 USD billion to non-profit organizations in the next three years. This action was done to assist people in dealing with various problems in the world.

President and Chief Legal Officer, Brad Smith said most of the donation program consists of free cloud services, storage, and services at discounted prices. Some of these include Azure and corporate programs internet-based Office 365. This donation also includes free access to various universities Azure.

For the initial stage, Microsoft is targeting 70,000 non-profit organizations. In addition, Microsoft is targeting the 20 investments in 15 countries. Microsoft is one of the priorities is to invest in an organization that brings internet connectivity in developing countries.
