Google Chrome Will Become Faster And Efficient

Google Chrome Brotli

Soon, Chrome will be able to open a web page much more quickly. This can be done thanks to a new compression algorithm called Brotli.

Google introduced this algorithm in September last year. With the Brotli, Chrome will be able to perform data compression of up to 26 percent better than the compression engine used before, Zopfli.

Ilya Grigorik, the Google Web Performance Designer, states that Brotli is ready to be launched in the near future. This means that, soon, Chrome users will be able to feel how the Chrome open the web page faster. As noted by The Verge, the use Brotli will be used after the latest version of Chrome released.

Google also said Chrome mobile users get the added advantage of saving battery power and cost savings of data packets. The giant search company calls Brotli as a new data format for the internet browser.

Google hopes that this format will also be adopted by other Internet browsers in the future. Apparently, the next browser will adopt this format is Firefox.
