Hackers Leaked Data Voters In the United States

Note election millions of citizens of the United States reportedly has been uploaded to the site associated with the dark cyber-crime forum leading.

Data belonging to voters who appear including full name, date of birth, date of registration, the address, the local school district, and some other information. Moreover, it also contains a record of previous elections and political affiliation.

Quoted from the motherboard, this data is collected into two large files 1,2GB and 1GB sizes, and each containing, at least, millions of data. Both of these files are stored in a file named "US_Voter_DB". Until now, there has not been established sources of data.

On 28 December last year, CSO Online reports reveal database configuration issues 191 million voter records to the Internet. This data was discovered by security researcher Christopher Vickery when he found his personal information in the records.

DataBreaches.net call, depending on the site, the list of voters from the registration information may also come from the government, and combined with other data sets to build new data related to one's personal life with a more complete and accurate.

However, the scattered data does not include sensitive data such as social security numbers or credit card information. Security researchers who are experienced with the data black market calls hackers can use the data to phishing.

Through this information, hackers can pretend to be a reliable source to ensure the target of handing a number of sensitive data such as banking details in activities phishing attack.
